«Wittwer ist nicht fertig»
Campaign in Space, Scenography, and Public Discourse

Curator and Project Lead

Developed together with BDA Baden-Württemberg and Wechselraum Stuttgart, Wittwer ist nicht fertig is a public initiative that takes the planned demolition of Stuttgart’s Wittwer building as an occasion to open a broader discussion on building culture, urban memory, and the value of existing structures.

Bringing together voices from architecture, urban planning, academia, design, and city publics, the project understands the Wittwer case not as an isolated dispute, but as part of a larger negotiation over continuity, significance, and public responsibility in the built city. On 19 June 2026, this discussion takes public form through the Long Table of Building Culture at Kleiner Schlossplatz. In July 2026, it continues in a staged spatial format at Wechselraum Stuttgart, conceived as a resonance space for the campaign.
